🌸 Designer's/Artisan’s Story

When Sumera began making candles in her Karachi apartment, it was simply a way to earn a little extra income. With a small stove, recycled jars, and evenings spent experimenting with wax and fragrance, she slowly found her rhythm.

Friends started placing orders, then neighbors, then small boutiques.

As demand grew, Sumera reinvested every rupee back into her work—buying better molds, sourcing quality wax, and learning packaging and branding.

Soon, she needed help. She trained women from her neighborhood to pour, label, and pack candles from her home setup.

What started as a one-woman hobby became a small, reliable source of employment.

Today, Sumera’s candle business doesn’t just light homes—it supports families and proves that meaningful enterprises can begin right at home.
